Czech Blind United

Czech Blind United (SONS) is a safe haven where we meet and help one another; our staff as well as professionals from our subsidiary social enterprises located in each administrative region of the country provide all kinds of blindness-related services from ADL (Adaptive Daily Living Skills) training through digital library to legal and social counselling. Our two shops are full of products usable by sense of hearing or touch, our publishing house prints magazines in Braille and large print, our Navigation Centre assists travelers on their journeys and our Centre for Barrier-Free Environment takes care of talking ATMs, acoustic traffic lights, acoustic beacons and much more.

Arkhai Szoborpark

Arkhai Sculpture Park was founded by visual artist Ernő Bartha, which is unique in the world due to monumental hay sculptures placed under a fir forest in the village of Vlaha (Transylvania, RO). In this oasis of silence people meet art and nature, in absolute harmony. Arkhai Sculpture Park Association organises all the events in the Park, which wants to serve as a multicultural center dedicated to artistic, cultural and educational events. The Park annually collaborates with International Transylvanian Film Festival (TIFF), having 1700 people at the open air projections, but also organises concerts, theater shows, exhibitions, workshops, artistic camps, sport activities and alternative dog exhibitions.

In 2015, Ernő Bartha and Ildikó Bács, the manager of Arkhai Sculpture Park, had a pilgrimage from Vlaha (RO) to London (EN) for love of art, freedom and justice. During this journey they crossed 10 countries by feet, and also walked along the Danube. Paradicsom Association’s project is close to them also by the diversity of those who will join the bicycle trip, but also because of the route, which is selected in the project.

Szepsi és Környéke Társaság

„Szepsi and Neighbourhood” association was founded in 1995. Its aim is to continuously deal with home-knowledge and cultural cognition and to promote it between different generations. Its target goal is to involve youth people and people with disadvantages into processes where we can save the natural, cultural, historical values of our homeland.

Every year we regularly organise a lot of local, regional, national and international program-series. Public education activities also include workshops, common content development, experience-change and enlargement of knowledge and yearly appr. 800 people is involved. This work can be divided into three parts, first of all it starts with intellectual processes such as mapping, researching and marketing activities, than it is followed by fixing and/or restoration of Hungarian relics and finishes by saving them and taking care of them on both sides of the ethnic border. The most prominent event is our ‘Home-knowledge Bicycle Tour’ which for the first few decades was organised by volunteers and now it is embraced and organised by our association. In the year 2021will be held the 47th one.
